Missing you Terribly Baby Girl - Happy Valentines Day

I just wanted to let you know Elly and I are planting some bulbs for McKayla at her grave today. We will put stones around them so they won't get dug up mistake. The bulbs came from Elly's Aunt Kathy, along with the following message. Take care,,Love, Nancy and Elly Hi Elly, I just wanted to let you know that you should soon receive the package that I have been planning as a memorial for your friend, McKayla. You had told me her favorite color was green. Well, it was very hard to find a perennial plant that had a green flower. What I came up with was a bulb plant called "Double Snow Drop". It has a very delicate looking white and GREEN flower and is one of the first bulbs to appear in late winter/early spring...just around the time that McKayla passed away. Have your Mom/Dad help you with the planting and they should be there next spring and every one after that. I thought that would be a nice way to remember your friend.

Uncle Mark and Aunty Holly planted 45 crocus bulbs last Wednesday. They are purple and white and they are all over the ground in groups of three. Their thinking was that if the snow is clearing the ground in March, they may just bloom on the anniversary of your step into Heaven (March 19, 2007).

RockYou PhotoFX Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007 MONT VERNON – On Sunday afternoon, Girl Scouts from Amherst and Mont Vernon gathered, shovels ready, in the back yard of Maureen and Greg Geisinger. Their mission was to plant a tree in memory of McKayla Geisinger, a sister Scout who died in March. McKayla, a seventh-grader at Amherst Middle School, was attending an environmental camp with her classmates at Pinkham Notch in the White Mountains. The 13-year-old collapsed after returning to the lodge from a two-mile snow-shoeing hike. She died as a result of an undiagnosed congenital condition at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. The death of the vibrant young girl was a shock to people in Mont Vernon and Amherst who knew McKayla as an enthusiastic student who played a good game of soccer. Nicole Masters, a Girl Scout leader from Mont Vernon who has a daughter of her own, felt that something had to be done by the local Scout troops to show their support for the family of a fellow Scout. "We decided that we wanted to give the Geisingers a flowering tree in memory of McKayla," Masters said, "so we started asking for donations, and between the two towns, we raised $400."
