Alone Were We Belong

My world a stranger I encounter nature A perfect sanctuary I let my memories Take me over Her sweet picture We walk Her smile all around Out of the fog God's tender hands The lord takes her And a rain comes over me I cry And realize it was over I love her I need her She, is gone Her voice takes me over Soon We, will be together The dirt on my knee's I am alone Alone with her Were we belong...

Mother's Grieving Heart

A child that loses a parent is an orphan.

A man who loses his wife is a widower.

A woman who loses her husband is a widow.

There is no name for a parent that loses a child, for there is no word to describe this pain.

Daily Reflections

If God causes you to suffer much, it is a sign that He has great designs for you, and that He certainly intends to make you a saint. And if you wish to become a great saint, entreat Him yourself to give you much opportunity for suffering; for there is no wood better to kindle the fire of holy love than the wood of the cross, which Christ used for His own great sacrifice of boundless charity. - Saint Ignatius Loyola (1491-1556)

You remain as a piece of my heart God needed you more, you had to depart

I talk to you every day And I just want to say

Thank you, for being my friend Never will that friendship end

You were my first friend when I moved to this state We met at cheerleading practice on a special date

That day was special, it was the day I met you From that day on our friendship grew

Cheering for the boys team that never won Just being with you was fun

Cheering for Amanda was exciting too Especially since family was important to you

Remember all the good times that we had For these, I will always be glad

You came to signups that day I said, “Want to be friends?” You replied “okay”

That one little word changed my life forever From that day my life just got better

Thirty-one days you have been missed One month ago we battled a twist

Your picture is with me everyday I just have to pray

To talk to you again I finish with an Amen

Hey McKayla! I miss you soooo much! I can't believe the cheerleading season is starting and you are not there with me. Even after you left cheerleading, you were still in my heart. On the days that are the hardest for me, I wear the shrit that you signed from 2004, Mite cheerleading. You will always have a speacial place in my heart, even after I have to depart.

Mr. and Mrs. Geisinger and Amanda, I am glad that you are doing better. My prayers are always with you, and forever will be.

With all of my Love and Blessings, Alexis K.

Where are you God? Somewhere out there? Do you see me crying? Can you hear my prayer? I have no words to say it, So i lift it up to you. I feel so empty and alone And don't know what to do. Sometimes all i can say is "God, are you out there?" I can't think how to say it, but still you hear my prayer. There's so much in my heart I don't know how to begin. But your hands make a cup To pour my sorrow in.

Psalm 86:11 Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name.

Teach me Thy way, O Lord, teach me Thy way!

Thy guiding grace afford, teach me Thy way!

Help me to walk aright, more by faith, less by sight;

Lead me with heav’nly light, teach me Thy way!

When I am sad at heart, teach me Thy way!

When earthly joys depart, teach me Thy way!

In hours of loneliness, in times of dire distress,

In failure or success, teach me Thy way!

When doubts and fears arise, teach me Thy way!

When storms o’erspread the skies, teach me Thy way!

Shine through the cloud and rain, through sorrow, toil and pain;

Make Thou my pathway plain, teach me Thy way!

Long as my life shall last, teach me Thy way!

Where’er my lot be cast, teach me Thy way!

Until the race is run, until the journey’s done,

Until the crown is won, teach me Thy way!

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate now knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.

-- Henri Nouwen

I'm deeply moved by your strength and faith. What you guys are doing is the right thing to do. We don't always know why we go through these trials but if you believe you will become stronger and it will be used for Gods glory and to help others. I sure you feel this is something you need to be doing. Greg what and example for Amanda I'm proud of all of you, you are amazing people and know that you are prayed for without ceasing. We love you Lisa

Good Morning Beautiful:

Daddy, I and Amanda got up bright and early this morning - one of my friends at work had a Mass said in honor of you.

Fr. actually said your name twice ... and daddy just loves to hear people say your name. I think sometimes people don't say it often because they don't want to make us sad ... yet it makes us very sad when your name isn't mentioned.

I love you --- Aunty Shirl is here and it is wonderful to have her so close. She brought the sunshine too with her ... it is beautiful today. It is nice to be able to 'feel' the breeze once again on my face ... I pray that I continue ... but having you gone is hell on earth.

Loving you honey - shine your light on us ... OK ... xoxxooxo

BLUE AGAINST BLUE This heavenly blue butterfly, Will fly high in the sky, higher and higher, The sunlight will touch, The blue on its wings, Until it seems to disappear. We think it is gone, Because the blue of the butterfly , is the exact same blue of the sky. We think it is gone, because our eyes are too weak to see - and it is difficult, to believe what we cannot see. But the blue butterfly is not gone. It is still flying higher and higher, nearer the sun. Blue against blue... Now and forever

McKayla, wow, it feels like yesterday we were out on the soccer field, playing defense, side by side. I always remembered that we were "Unstopable". And, when you weren't playing you'd be shouting from the sidelines, "C'mon team! Let's win!". I remember playing last year with Amanda, and your father was our coach and how we had given ourselves the title "Panters". You would sometimes coach alongside your father and would sometimes practice with us. Even though you helped us practice, I still wish you could've been officially on our team.

I visited your grave today, you look so beautiful! I added a metal angel and there is a wonderful quote written at the bottom: "There are no endings, just new beginings."

Soccer starts in a few months, and it was hard thinking about playing soccer again (because we wouldn't be playing together). But I thought about you, and how much you loved it whenever I scored a goal (especially against an all boys team).

"You always said how lucky you were that we were all friends...but it was us, baby, who were the lucky ones." -Maureen Johnson, "RENT"

I miss you McKayla! You were loved by us sooo much! I know you are watching over us and that you are smiling for all our accomplishments!!! I love you! -Amelia Parent

How Well Are You Doing with Your Grief?
